From the children who gather to watch Sesame Street at their day
care center, to farmers who listen to the market reports from their tractor cabs, to commuters
whose spirits are lifted by soaring music, the people of central Illinois find that their lives
are enriched by WILL. Each week, more than 130,000 people tune to WILL-TV, 48,000 tune to WILL-AM and 44,000 tune to WILL-FM. The public broadcasting service of the University of
Illinois, WILL links thousands of families to the programming of National Public Radio (NPR) and
the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
WILL is not only a source of high-quality, commercial-free programming; it is an important
community resource as well, offering life-saving tornado safety seminars, free classical music
concerts, workshops for parents and child care providers, and agricultural outlook session for
farmers. WILL's commitment to human and community values
extends to the aspirations we have for our own workplace,
as expressed in The Character and Aspirations of the
Division of Broadcasting.
