Horticulturist
Dianne Noland hosts WILL-TV's call-in gardening program.
Dianne is a teaching associate in horticulture for the University of
Illinois Department
of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. She received her
master's of science in horticulture from the U of I in 1979 and worked
for various nurseries in central Illinois.
"I teach landscaping, so it's my vocation," says Dianne.
"But gardening is my avocation. I love to garden and it's fun to
talk about it. Gardeners are interesting people and it's great when we
put our heads together to solve gardening problems."
Some of Dianne's publications include:
Seasons of Flowers, McLauren and Noland (text), Florists' Review
Enterprises, 2001.
"Perennials for the Landscape", Dianne Noland and
Kirsten Bolin, Interstate Publishers, Inc., Danville, IL, 2000.
"Floriculture" by Ronald Biondo and Dianne Noland,
Interstate Publishers, Inc., Danville, IL, 2000.
"A Centennial History of the American Florist" (Holiday
Chapter), Florists' Review Enterprises, 1997.
Six books called Encycloflora, by Teleflora, written with a group of
florists/educators from across the country, 1994.
- Dianne was a regular guest on the series before taking over for
former host Jack Kelly in 1999. She has also produced gardening
segments for WCIA/Channel 3 in Champaign.
